Aconite’s latest feature doc at Glasgow Film Festival
There’s much excitement at Aconite this week in anticipation of the sold out Scottish premiere screening of BRASILIA: Life After Design tomorrow night at Glasgow Film Festival. BRASILIA is Canadian filmmaker Bart Simpson’s directorial debut and is a co-production between Aconite and Lowik Media in Montreal.
Here’s some comments from audience members who had a sneak preview of the film last week –
“Really enjoyed being transported to Brasilia this morning”
“fascinating and really engrossing… people with hearts and souls looking for a sense of community”
“the film triumphs in showcasing the lives of the city’s modern day residents against the backdrop of its visionary and brutalist architectural design and growing population”
“An intimate portrait of a city told through its inhabitants that can engross… There are few other films like it”
Although the premiere tomorrow evening is sold out Glasgow Film Festival has added a second screening on Thursday morning at 11.00 at CCA, 350 Sauchiehall Street.
