On 19 July 2026, Aconite Productions celebrates 16 years of producing award-winning documentaries with international resonance.

Since 2010, we've been committed to crafting films of universal significance, working with outstanding collaborators, partners and audiences around the world. We're grateful to every filmmaker, producer, funder, festival, distributor, organisation, investor and supporter who has been part of our journey.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're equally looking ahead to another exciting moment this summer: the world premiere of The Mad World of Harvey Kurtzman, at this year's Edinburgh International Film Festival. The screening will take place on Sunday 16 August at 3:00 pm at the Filmhouse. This film, directed by Bart Simpson, is a co-production with Intuitive Pictures, with funding support from Telefilm Canada, Screen Scotland and the UK Global Screen Fund.
