Electric Malady UK Premiere at Sheffield DocFest

01 Jun 2022

After the successful world premiere of 'Electric Malady'-director Marie Liden's first feature film-at CPH:DOX, it will be having its UK premiere at this year's Sheffield DocFest. We are incredibly honoured to have been selected as one of seven favourite films of the festival for this year's Youth Jury Awards.

With the festival running from 23-28 June 2022, 'Electric Malady' will premiere on Friday 24 June at 12:45, with a second showing Monday 27 June at 21:00.

Described as a 'modern folk-horror tale,' 'Electric Malady" tells the story of William, a former master's student and aspiring musician with a bright and promising future, besieged by a mysterious illness for which modern science holds no answers. Forced to retreat from society and live in isolation, removed from modern technology, this film offers an intimate look into William's isolated world, and is a moving depiction of a family devoted to finding a way to save their son's life.
