Our Pitches @ CPH:DOX FORUM

23 Apr 2021

Here at Aconite, we have been enjoying the warmer weather and as always,  keeping busy. Our next (virtual) trip is to CPH:DOX FORUM

This year, two of our films, The Forest for the Trees by two-time Oscar nominee Lucy Walker (produced with Decia Films, in co-production with Good N' Proper) and The Wild Ones by award-winning director Eva Weber (produced with Modern Films) will be pitching at CPH:FORUM next week. We are excited to present these stories to potential international partners.

The Forest for the Trees is a photographically innovative, dramatic, and character-filled sci-fi documentary about plants and trees - nature's innovators. The film follows expert scientists on their journey to reveal the hidden brilliance of the plant world as we’ve never seen it before, making an irrefutable case for the intelligence of the plant world.

The Wild Ones is a creative documentary exploring the power of wild swimming. Set against a backdrop of the Scottish landscape, it tells the stories of loss, trauma, and healing. The film shows that water can provide freedom, emotional fulfillment and allow people to feel at home in their skin. It reminds us that it is good to be alive.

We are saddened to not be able to attend the festival in person, but we look forward to meeting friends and colleagues from all over the world online.

We would like to thank Screen Scotland for their invaluable support on these projects
